JEFFERSONVILLE OVERLOOK HISTORY PANELS
Jeffersonville, Indiana
Design of seven interpretive panels that describe Jeffersonville’s rich history, especially as it relates to its Ohio River location. Panels were installed along Riverside Drive in the City’s historic district. Histories explored include Early Inhabitants, Clark’s Grant, the Civil War, River Crossing, Shipbuilding, Gambling, and the 1937 Flood. The project was initiated during the administration of Mayor Tom Galligan. The year-long project included historic research – including working with local historians, content development, copywriting and editing, design, and fabrication to installation.
